I know LO is moving, flipping and rotating a lot lately, but it seems every u/s I've had since finding out the gender, his rump is always parked on my bladder. I saw my OB on Monday (go back every two weeks now) and I asked him about this. He said it's still a tad too early to be concerned since there's still room for him to move, but as I get closer to my due date, he'll have to monitor LO's position more closely.
If he is still rump first at the next couple of appointments, I am going to have to try some alternatives to get him to move (like spinningbabies.com or other methods I have read about). I don't want to have to have an external version done (where the OB manually manipulates your tummy to turn LO at roughly 36 or 37 weeks). I want to do what I can to prevent a c-section at that point, UNLESS, (when labor comes) baby is in distress, no dialation, or his head is too big (like what happened to my cousin in August).
If your LO is breech, partially breech or in a transverse lie, what has your OB told you about your LO's position. Depending on how far along you are, is your OB concerned at this point?
Re: Breech Position
My OB told me it isn't a concern until 38 weeks, but yesterday okayed me to start trying pelvic tilts and the cat pose to try and get her to shift. My OB did an u/s yesterday to see if she is still breech (since she was at 29 weeks) and she still was but had made some progress. I'm pretty sure my OB said to start trying to moves to shift her because I've been having contractions, have a soft cervix and baby is sitting VERY low and she is concerned I may go into labor much earlier than 38 weeks. I want to avoid a c-section too so for me it's worth it to try and get her to move just in case I have this baby in the next few weeks.
Regardless of yesterdays appt., I had planned to start some of the spinning baby methods around 33/34 weeks to get her to try and shift knowing she may flip back, just for piece of mind.
DS was breech until 36 weeks, so you still have lots of time for your LO to turn. When I researched it, multiple sources said some babies actually turn during labor, go figure.
My LO isn't breech, but is in the OP position. My MW said it wasn't a concern yet, but I should start taking action now.
If I was you, I would find a chiropractor in the area that does the Webster technique. I've heard amazing things and it's non-invasive.
