Hello and Intro

Just wanted to introduce myself...I think I am finally prepared to join you all and will start to TTC next month. Very scared and excited as I hope we are blessed with another take-home baby. I had a m/c in August at 15 weeks and 4 days.  What are some of the things you all are doing/did to prepare for ttc? I have seen some talk of POM juice....just wanting to make sure that I am doing everything I possibly can to prevent another m/c and to prepare for a healthy pregnancy.

    PCOS * Hypothyroid

    Bean - BFP May 26, 2010. EDD Feb 3, 2011. Natural Miscarriage 8w5d - June 29, 2010.
    Pumpkin - BFP Feb 8, 2011. EDD Oct 21, 2011. Natural Miscarriage 6w3d - Feb 28, 2011.

    Femera started November 2014. 3 rounds, no luck. Moving to IUI.
    March 2015: IUI#1 - nope.
    May 2015: IUI#2 - nada.
    October 2015: IUI#3 - BFP on Nov 2, 2015! *stick baby stick!*

    Hey Deanna! Welcome to the board and I'm so sorry for your loss. Were they able to give you a cause/reason? Have you and your OB come up with a plan for next time?  I had two pre-conception consultations with my doctors to make sure I had a good plan in place.

    I started charting two months before we were read to TTC so that I could have a good knowledge of what my body was doing and whether I needed to do anything. I saw I was Oing late so I started Vitex. I did the POM thing for about a week then forgot about it. lol

    Thank you. There were no known causes for our loss.  I never showed any physical signs of m/c (i.e. bleeding,cramping, etc.). We had went in for a gender scan and the baby was no longer alive Crying Testing was done and there was no infection or genetic cause.  I am actually scheduled to go to the dr. for a routine pap and plan on discussing ttc. I also had an early loss (due to low progesterone) before having my dd. Wondering if I should speak with a specialist since this was my 2nd loss (though not consecutive).

    I'm so sorry for your losses. Welcome to the board! As others have said, the TTCAL blog is a great resource. This is my first cycle  that I'm using Vitex since I always O late. It did seem to work this cycle, since my O date was the earliest since the cycle of my BFP (CD 17). I have also been taking Mucinex to help with CM.

    I hope your stay on this board is short and sweet!

    Hi and welcome!  I am sorry about your loss.  We'll be starting TTC next cycle too and in preparation I've spoken with my doc about an action plan of what I should be doing before (taking PNV, baby asprin) and I've also started charting.  Like pp mentioned, it's good to figure out what your body is doing (my cycle changed a lot after my loss).  Good luck!

    I'm so sorry for your loss.  Welcome!  We're not doing anything special to prepare (other than taking Clomid).
    Mom to Eliott Alexander, born sleeping at 37 weeks on 8/13/10. Most of us only dream of angels - I held one in my arms.
