Yep! I wore ds in this morning Lots of cute comments about it being his first time voting He thought the booth was pretty fun...I love how curious he is these days!
What do they expect to do with your baby while in the booth? It's not like you can ask her to wait outside...
you are very right about that. i am sure it's perfectly legitamet. i'm just used to going with my husband, so i assumed one of us would watch her while the other voted. but then i thought, hey-- i could just wear her. then i thought hm, is there some kind of law that would prohibit "another person" from going into the booth with me? then i read all of the above answers. which made me think, knowing my town, someone would try to say that bringing my 4 month odl in the voting booth with me is somehow violating the constitution.but i'm still gonna try it!

I think it would be really weird if they had a problem with it. Where I used to live lots of people brought their babies/kids with them. Younger kids were in strollers or carriers, even elementary school age kids went into the booths to see how it all worked. It's a great learning opportunity for older kids to see how the democratic process works. I think people should be encouraged to bring their children to the polls with them.
My daughter's been with me every time I've voted since she was born. I highly doubt it would make a difference if your child was holding your hand, being carried or worn.
i had no idea you could bring a child into the booth with you. it seems like common sense, but what can i say, i'm niave to the baby thing. especially to the voting with baby thing.
LOL. I get where you're coming from. I had researched some candidates for lesser known offices last night and felt funny taking the slip of paper out of my purse with my notes. It felt like I was cheating on the SATs or something.
M stood at my feet and played peek a boo with the curtain while I voted.

I wore S on my back and let J push the buttons - no problem!
I let DS hit the buttons and then we went to visit the polling place where my mom was working. When I told her, she scolded me for letting him do it! Aapparently it's a no-no since he's not old enough to vote! LOL Oops.
