cloth diaper ammonia smell

after parker pees in his diapers, they reek of ammonia.  i've stripped them using dove dish soap, but still have this problem.

how do it get rid of it for good??

    Did you use Dove dish soap or blue Dawn dish soap?

    You have to strip with DAWN, not Dove. Buy the blue kind.

     oops yeah, it was blue DAWN, not dove.  is this the best way to do it?  maybe i need to do it again & then sun bleach.  (good luck getting some sun around here... i'm in seattle.)
