Biggest "doh!" moment ever

My co- worker came in a few minutes ago and says: "Do you know your car is idling?"

Me: "Huh?"

Co-worker: Your car is running outside in the parking lot."

Me: "Is someone playing a joke on me?"

Seriously. I forgot to turn my car off when I came back from lunch. How does one even DO something like that? That absolutely takes the cake for worst pregnant brain ever.

    I didn't. I literally left the car running with my keys in the ignition.

    I know. I know. I can't figure it out either. I was coming back from lunch with another co-worker and she and I were discussing something, so I guess when I grabbed my purse and leftovers I just...blanked out or something. Weirdest.thing.ever.

    I work in the home office. There's only like 24 of us here, and we're all like family, so no worries on that account. :)

    That is too funny.  At least someone noticed so you didnt waste all your gas sitting in the parking lot.

    I did this last week, twice! In our driveway, but still. I was in the house for about an hour, ran out to take the trash out or something and was like, "huh."
