Where do you keep/plan to keep your hospital bag?

I'm working in my office until I'm 37 weeks. H and I commute together. Our house takes about 35 minutes to an hour to get to from the city.

On the chance I go into labor early, would you start keeping your hospital bag in the car?  Um, once I have one, anyway. Haven't quite gotten there.

I'd take it out and keep it at home with me after I start working from home.

    I'd say that sounds the most reasonable, esp if you and H commute together and you'd likely use that car to get you to the hospital if something does happen. That way you know it's there, ready to go, and you don't have to think about it.

    I think that sounds like a good plan!  Mine is just in our bedroom, but I'm not working.  If I was working I'd definitely keep it in my car.

    It's in DH's car since that is what we will be driving.

    Since I'm at home now, I'll keep it near the back door so it's an easy grab. The only time I'm ever more than 10 minutes away is for my OB apts so that seems reasonable for me.

    For you, I'd keep it in your car if that's possible until you work from home.

    Mine is sitting on the floor next to my bed. I work from home so no chance of me going into labor at the office.

    I suppose you could take it with you in the car, but if the hospital is closer to home than work, I'd probably just keep it at home. Worst case, DH can always run home to get it.

    We live really close to the hospital, so I'll just keep it in Elsa's room until it's time.  I think.

    We keep ours in my car. Because I plan to drive to the hospital myself or have him drive my car, since that's where we have installed the carseat.

    I haven't gotten to this point yet, but I think I will keep the bag in my car for two reasons.  1.  I work in L&D and I plan on working right up until I have the baby (unless I get taken out early) so that way my bag will already be there with me.  2.  I'm due in January and I have the SUV with AWD, in case there is snow storm, my car will do just fine getting us to and from the hospital!

    Right now next to the bed. I want to put it in DH's car since I commute on the el-but keep worry about things like my phone charger and camera-things that will be in use until the last minute. So for now we just have spare pillows in the car. Maybe I'll put the bag in the car with a list of what to grab from around the house on the door just in case...
