my sister is having a baby

I am geniunely so happy for her and her DH. I hope that I am able to stay as excited as my next EDD approaches and passes. Luckily, she is super supportive with my TTC and is understanding about my feelings.

I also feel more pressure to get KU soon as I would love for us to have babies close together.

Anyone else have pregnant siblings?

I know what you mean about the added pressure for cousins close in age. My niece's first birthday was last week and it was hard being there for her knowing I should have her 1 week old cousin there with me too. I was so exctied about them being almost exactly a year apart. ((hugs))

no siblings anymore, but my FIL's gf is pregnant. I think it would be cool that if I got pregnant this month our child would have a uncle that is only 6 month or so older then them. My future MIL disagrees.. pretty much told me I needed to wait a couple years to get pregnant because it would be akward.. Confused

Wow congrats to her and GL to you, that has to be rough. I hope you get to have cousins close to the same age.

I dread finding out that my brother's fiancee is KU (they aren't trying but nothing would surprise me) or even worse that my 20 year old sister who lives with my parents, has no job and isn't going to school accidentally gets KU. I tell her I would adopt her baby if necessary.

My only nieces and nephews are of the four legged furry kind.

But my brother and his wife have been trying for the last two years to get PG. They haven't yet enlisted the help of an RE though.

My brother is 40 and SIL is 33. DH is 33 and I'm 30. IN a way, while I'm going to be excited for them once it does happen, it will be bittersweet, since we've been trying for longer, even though my brother has 10 years on me. In my ideal world, she'd get PG a deliver a week after me Smile

Congrats to your sister! It is wonderful that you are both able to step back and realize what the other person is going through and be supportive of one another. It is refreshing to hear, actually. Smile

I am not really looking forward to that one....it is already making me sick because no one will make Thanksgiving plans since THE baby is coming! There should be two babies coming

WTF? Umm...I think it's more awkward to have a baby daddy...my guess is that they (fil & gf) are not close in age?

I am so sorry! It is so hard to deal with this in general, but around the holidays is much worse for some reason

When I first mc'd I thought, "thank goodness I'm not having to deal with my SIL being pregnant like some people are". She had me meet her out with some friends after my mc to help me after a "tough week". At this time I asked her about her own thoughts on having a baby (just to make sure I didn't have to worry about this). She said, no we're not trying. I'm not ready for a baby. About a month later, I find out, not only is she pregnant, but she would have been due a week apart from me. She was pregnant during our outing and did not even realize it. She was drinking and smoking socially on weekends as she was not actively ttc and she has a baby still in her and I don't...it is so unfair. I try to be happy, but it's hard.

Congrats Auntie!

We don't have any siblings having kids yet - we each have a younger brother with girlfriends, so hopefully neither of them announces any surprises anytime soon *fingers crossed*

I think they are about 10 years apart because his dad was 19 when he had DH and she is only about 9-10 years older then us. I can say it did kinda of piss me off and I didn't talk to her for a couple of weeks (of course this was right after my m/c that she said this and even though she didn't know about the m/c, that is still something you don't say to someone when you don't know whats been going on in their life)

I am so sorry! It is so hard to deal with this in general, but around the holidays is much worse for some reason

My brother & SIL had their baby a week before I had my ectopic. They are going to start to TTC again soon-so I am afraid that I will be devistated if they get pregnant before I do. They also started to TTC when we did-so they have better luck.

My brother's wife is pregnant. I'm really excited for them. They've been ttcal for longer than we have so I was really hoping that she would get pregnant first. However I do feel added pressure now because I would love to have cousins close in age.

Congrats to your sister and to you for being an aunt! I?m glad that she?s being very supportive. Fortunately my brother is younger (and my only sibling). He?s getting married 1-1-11, so hopefully they won?t be having kids right away (he?s 23, she?s 22), but who knows! I will be crushed if she has a baby before I do!
