Is BBQ ok for a Dec bday party?
We are trying to cut some costs back for Riley's birthday party and were thinking about just bbq-ing hot dogs and hamburgers instead of doing dollar rolls sandwhiches but I am not sure if people would think that is weird. Her party is on her birthday on 12-12. I can eat a bar b que hotdog any time of the day and day of the year but not sure how many people agree with me! What do you think?

I think that would be fine! You could even work a theme around it, like "summer fun" with beachballs, etc.
Also, I think it would be a welcome change to all the typical thanksgiving-christmas foods!
