  • She couldn't initially say the w sound, so I left it off like the french oeuf for "egg" as opposed to long o's. So now she still says "oeuf oeuf!"

  • We taught her "woof, woof" but it sounds more like "Ooo, ooo" when she does it. :)
  • We do Woof Woof.....

Bow Wow totally makes me think of Best in Show.

  • We didn't actually teach her the dog sound.  One day we realized that she had been saying a dog sound for a couple weeks.  It has evolved into "woof woof."  She also taught herself the kitty sound.  I have been trying to teach her other sounds.
  • The sign for dog is sticking your tongue out and panting.  We taught him that while he was younger so now when he sees a dog he does it.

  • Luke LOVES dogs, and he loves to 'bark' when he sees or hears one.  Except his bark sounds more like a grunt.  LOL,
  • Bark bark! I am surprised no one else has said this yet!

  • Umm ... it's kind of a cross between "woof" and "ruff."

  • DD pants for a dog sound...this is because my mom's dog pants quite a bit and that was the first "dog sound" she heard before barking.
  • One night while giving Josh a bath I was making all sorts of animal sounds.  For a dog I started doing a typical woof-woof sound, but then decided to howl.  Josh thought it was hilarious and tried to copy me.  This was months ago and he still doesn't say woof, but he will make a howling sound if we ask him.

This is pretty much us :)  But I taught "woof woof" even though it doesn't always sound like it from her version :)  But then again her oink oink is "koink" :)

  • We'll see how this goes. Currently DH knows a monkey says "ee ee eee oo oo ooo" and every other animal apparently growls.
Um, yeah. The Bump be too crazy for pics of my kid.

I was teaching DD woof woof and noticed she does the tounge out/panting instead. I bet daycare taught her this. Cool!

Yes, this. She can say dog now but she still likes to pant.
