only one poop today...

at what point are babies constipated?  he's only had 1 poopy diaper and that was this morning.  He keeps farting..and looking like he's TRYING to poop...but i keep changing just wets....any suggestions?
1 chemical and 1 loss at 9 weeks prior to DS
IVF #1 1/10-transfered 2 blasts- DS born 10/2010

Trying for # 2 since 2012.  2 failed FETS 1 failed IUI.
IUI#2 4/14/14-- BFP !!!!! Beta #1 14dpiui= 45 Beta #2 16dpiui= 80  Beta #3 18dpiui= 88 (chemical pregnancy)
March 2015- Chemical pg

1/25/16- BFP  Beta1 12dpo = 17, Beta 2 14 dpo = 28.. resulted in one beautiful boy born 9/21/16 :)

Now I'm a stay at home loving life and pursuing my love of photography!!!

    One poop a day doesn't mean he is constipated. 

    Are you breastfeeding?  Breastfed babies rarely ever get constipated...Caroline once went 11 days with no poop, and it was fine.

    Try bicycling his legs to help him move some air around, and he might give you a nice poopy diaper ;)

    well if he went once today i woudln't worry just yet. It might take a him a few days to get used to the formula

    Switching to formula probably just slowed things down a bit, no need to worry yet.  Let his body get used to the change.  And remember that not going everyday doesn't mean he's constipated, his new normal may be once every other day or something and as long as it's not hard and pellet-like he's not constipated.

    Don't worry, that's totally normal.

    Unless you see small hard pellets for a few diapers in a row, or only runny stuff that leaks out in small amount near constantly, he's probably not constipated.

    thanks ladies...i just know i have bowel issues so worry about him...he was acting so uncomfy turning his face purple like he was straining and nothing was happening..he had a nice large bm this morning though
