I've been thinking about how to teach my LO about money. My siblings and I were taught a little, but now very well. You can tell since my brother and sister struggle with credit debt and have made a lot of bad money decisions. Anyway, I found this piggy bank in a parenting magazine today and thought it would be a great way to teach money management. Just thought I would share. I plan to buy one for my LO and my two nephews for Christmas.

I love the 4-part one! Lots of them are three parts (give, save, spend), but I think teaching long-term savings (investing) is a different and equal as vital skill as short-term savings.

I used to work at a bank and we used these at the local elementary school when we went in to give a $$ lesson to 5th graders. They really are a great learning tool. It amazed me how little children that age knew about saving money. Most didn't even know about having a savings account.
