Lurker here from "trying to get pregnant"...you always here that "saliva kills sperm" or that is what I have read. So...is trying to make a baby all about sex and NO foreplay???

Can you have foreplay without using saliva? Yes.

Foreplay does not have to include saliva so the literal answer to your question would be no, TTC does not mean no foreplay. However, to answer what you really meant to ask (can you get pregnant when saliva is involved in sex), the answer is yes. Saliva is not ideal for sperm, but I conceived using saliva as lube. Yes

Why are we assuming that a blowjob is the only type of foreplay involving saliva? I think it's fine to give or receive, as long as you're not spitting all over the place.

Yes, saliva is the #1 sperm killer around!! Therefore, you and your husband will no longer be able to spit and drool all over eachother's genitals to get in the mood. Get that weiner straight in there, no putsing around, and absolutely NO genital saliva baths of any kind.

Get Taking Charge of Your Fertility. I've heard of people getting pregnant despite having oral sex first, but it is generally recommended that you not as saliva is known to kill sperm.

Educate yourself and read the book. Then find other ways to keep things exciting. Good luck.
