We got one that wasn't the cheapest, but on the cheapER side. I agree that the Step 2 ones are nice! I will say it's a great investment. DS#1 plays with it every single day. Sometimes he will even cook at his kitchen when I'm making dinner :-) Also, a friend recommended buying extra food or dishes which we did.

We gave Lily this one for x-mas last year and she has played with it almost every day since. We got it on E-bay for $150, no shipping, but it looks like there are even better prices out there now.
I got this one for my boy and girl. It is the only toy we have that is not in their rooms. It holds a lot of stuff, which I love because I don't have to look at all their junk. Pay attention to size, but they play with this for a while, my 4.5 year old loves it. She will love it for a couple more year. If you get a little one, they will outgrow it. I bought DD a small one when she was a toddler, then decided to get her a bigger one because she was outgrowing it and it had no storage for the food and stuff.
That looks huge! And awesome I'm assuming at least 2 kids can easily play side-by-side on this one?
I'm looking for a nice large kitchen for the girls for Xmas and was going to get a wooden corner one, then someone said it was hard for 2 kids to play side by side on it because of the set up...and I NEED for them to be able to play on the thing at the same time!

Re: Play Kitchen Recs?
We have the Step 2 Lifestyle Deluxe Kitchen - all 3 of my kids play with it every day. One of our best buys.

Little Tykes Inside/Outside Cook and Grill. My boys love this, it's definitely some of the best money we've spent on a toy.

Any of the Step 2 kitchens. They sell them on BJs dot com and I think Sams Club too. We have one and by far best toy ever!
