Babies: 3 - 6 Months

Anyone else look? TMI

I finally got enough courage to look at myself last night and it doesn't look the same at all lol. When Mathieu came out his head was first and he pushed one hand out immediately after and tore me straight up... Blah! I remember hearing my Dr tell my DF that I was going to look a little different because of that but really?! Anyone else muster up enough courage to look? Anyone else surprised?

  • Ok, maybe it still hurts to wear jeans, but this is one reason I am glad I had a c-section.

  • I looked at 6 weeks PP and haven't looked since.  DH said it feels different when he touches it (haven't been able to have sex yet)... but when I looked a few months ago it looked like "Frankencrotch".  I swear, the doctor just guessed how it went back together... "let's sew this piece here to this piece over there and see how that goes..."  I don't look anymore.

  • Hm...I look mostly normal. I haven't looked inEmbarrassed a few months but I honestly checked every few weeks because in the beginning it was scary down there! Around 3 months it started looking normal so I stopped checking...

  • I look similar - even after my 3rd degree tear, but definitely different.

  • I looked, with the exception of a tiny pink line going from one hole to another, it doesnt look different at all. Which I'm super happy about, cos the guy who sewed me up was the assistant and I was his first patient EVER! I did not know this, or else I would of made the real OB come do it, but I guessed he wasnt used to it after about the 4th time he dropped the needle down in me... OH yeah, he did; dropped it and had to go in after it. It was more pain than actually giving birth.

  • I actually look pretty often and it looks exactly the same.  I was expecting it to look totally different, but it doesn't.  I had a second degree tear of the left labia.

  • I was afraid to look in the few days after giving birth, but I got the courage about 2 weeks after and surprisingly it looked like nothing ever happened.  I can only very slightly feel where the episiotomy cut was but other than that I look/feel exactly the same.

  • I swear that I look different down there but DH says I don't. I think he's just trying to make me feel better. Oh well, it was totally worth it and as long as DH doesn't mind then I'm ok with it. I'm wondering how much it will change again after my next baby.

  • I looked at 6 weeks, looks almost exactly the same.  Doesn't feel the same though!

And my son had a 14.5 inch head and came out with two hands on his head.

This, but I totally looked the day we got home from the hospital.  It really wasn't as bad as I thought it would be.

  • It looks normal with very light scarring.  I refused to look until it was well healed b/c I could tell just by feeling it when I washed it that it would have freaked me out at first with all the stitches.

  • My right labia tore in half and even though they stitched it, it is still torn- they told me after my next kid they will fix it... and two of my stitches tore out midway through my 6 week recovery, so of course nothing looks right down there.

TMI Alert- It looks like I have a tongue poking out now, which is weird, and where the hell did that come from?

I agree! I can't believe it still hurts you to wear jeans though?
