pelvic pains

in 1st Trimester
I am about 6 weeks pregnant and I haven't had my first dr appt yet.  I am feeling these pains down in my pelvic area that feel like: when you hold pee in for a very long time then you finally go, I feel the pain afterwards...kinda crampy I guess but not period crampy.  Does anyone know what I mean?  Has anyone had this before?

    If you're holding your pee for too long, then you might be getting a bladder infection or UTI...peeing should hurt because of pregnancy.

    Sounds like just some growing pains to me

    With DS I had more of AF like crampy feelings, but with this one, I just generally feel a little sore and achy.

    Actually, funny you posted, I am feeling the same thing!  I did find out I had a bladder infection when I went to the doc two weeks ago but it should be long gone after antibiotics... Maybe you should make an apt just to be sure.  I keep wondering if everything is ok especially because I get little tiny pinches in my left side.  The possibility could always be ectopic, but also gas, normal bloating, could be a lot of things... I called to reschedule my apt sooner than later.

    I'm almost 10 weeks and I actually just woke up this morning and was feeling something like that too. No pain when I pee, but a little after. It isn't really all that painful, but I had a UTI two years ago, and it seems similar. So I'm just going to call my doc tomorrow so I can get it sorted out. Better to be safe than sorry right? Just drink lots of fluids - maybe buy some cranberry juice - and call your doc to be reassured you're fine.
