Need booster seat for Disney's Magical Express shuttle from airport?

Going to Disney next week, and we will be transported to and from the airport and hotel on Disneys Magical Express shuttle. I can't figure out if I need to bring a booster seat with us or not?

Re: Need booster seat for Disney's Magical Express shuttle from airport?

  • And you aren't planning to just call them and ask on Monday morning why?
  • Loading the player...
  • but b/c I love halloween and am in a good mood I think the answer is -

    no

there are no seatbelts on busses

the only point of a booster is to raise a child so the seatbelt doesn't cross their face

  • Okay, gibs is wrong about the point of a booster...kind of. It's to position them properly so the seatbelt doesn't damage internal organs, or so the child doesn't submarine, or go flying out of the car in an accident. But anywho...

Seatbelts are not in buses for a reason, and that's because if a bus is in a crash, the most important thing is quick evacuation. Plus, they come to a stop at a much slower speed, plus there's just a ton of physics involved (I can go into it if you'd like, but I'm getting the feeling that I'm babbling on too much as it is)...seatbelts and carseats on buses aren't needed.

    Have fun!

  • We have use Disney's Magical Express a few times now and no there are no boosters or carseats needed, nor does anyone use them. Have an awesome trip!
  • Yup - no seatbelts, no carseats/boosters.  When we went last time, the girls were 2.5 yo and 10mo.  We all rode the Magical Express and didn't have any carseats or anything.  It's just like any other bus.
