So far DS has always had a big gift that we have not wrapped. This year DS will have a big gift but DD does not, I am not sure if I am going to give her something big and right now I think we might not. So I am torn if I should give DS big gift (a Little Tikes grill) as a joint gift or just wrap all the gifts. And I "worry" that if I do not wrap Santa gifts that the kids will not know what belongs to whom. All of our gifts were wrapped as kids and my brother is almost 6 years older than me so this was never an issue for us.

Re: Do you wrap Santa gift(s)
There are so many different traditions with this. We do big gifts from santa and leave them unwrapped....anything that would be difficult to wrap is from Santa.
I wouldnt worry about just DS having a big gift from santa ...you can leave a few things unwrapped from Santa for dd.
Like I said there are many different ways to do this....Kids seriously do not care that much...they are just so excited that morning.

Nope, we never do, but both MH and I were both brought up with the Santa gift always being unwrapped so it was just normal for us to also do it.
Santa gift is always large anyway; bike, train table, big toy etc. We always have it set up in front of the tree.

We do family presents on Christmas Eve and Santa presents Christmas morning. So every Christmas Eve the kids open their presents from us(usually pj's, a new ornament and their big gift.) This year we are getting the big kids their own desktop computer and the little one a rocking horse. They usually open their gifts to each other and gifts from Aunts and Uncles as well. Christmas morning they open Santa presents and stockings (we go crazy every year and they get way too much,) and presents from Grandparents.
THIS year we are putting the tree in the dining room instead of the living room. After we finish putting the presents under the tree we are going to cover the entrance to the room with wrapping paper. This means 1. no snooping in the middle of the night and 2. They will be able to bust through a wall of wrapping paper to get to their gifts Xmas morning which, to me, seems like some fun for a kid!
We wrap everything. ANd I mean everything, no matter how big. All of the excitemnt of xmas morning is what is inside and tearing into it to find out. We need all of it, the sound of the paper, the mess, all of it.
And yes, santa wrap is different from all other wrap. I usually buy a paper with Santas on it to differentiate what is from Santa. And a different Santa paper for each kid (although I also label, usually typed b/c that is how I realized that Santa wasn't real, I saw my Mom's handwriting- lol).
Can you tell this is important to me?
Dear Santa,
I only want the block function to work for Christmas. And you don't have to wrap it.

This is me too. Mine were never wrapped so I don't wrap DD's. I do give gifts from both Santa (unwrapped) and us (wrapped) that way it eases my guilt and does not look like I was as out of control as i was when it came to shopping:)
