So we went to our church trunk or treat last night and we did do a few cars... One of the moms said well you should take the nerds, my son(same age as mine) loves them!
Um.......who feeds a 7month old nerds?!?!??!?!?!?!?

this reminds me, on friday we took dd to the doctor. we thought she may have had an ear infection, but she was totally fine and healthy. on our way out, the receptionist asked if she could give dd a sucker. we looked at her like she was crazy and said dd can't have candy. she looked back at us like WE were the crazy ones!
It's what is ruining Halloween and traditional trick or treating in my area. I hate it.
Aww that sucks!! I liked it this year since we have a young one and it was all organized for us! But I would hate it to ruin the door to door thing. Both are still happening here.

I normally have so many trick or treaters I have to turn my light off and go to the dollar store and restock. This year I didn't even go through my first bowl. I actually worry my kid won't be able to experience the real deal. And the place I live, we aren't too worried about door to door safety or anything. It's a really safe town.

I passed one of these on the way home and was wondering what was going on. I think it's kinda cool here because there's a lot of rural areas. In the 4 years we've lived here we've had a total of 3 treat or treaters. I would love for Cadie to have the traditional deal, but if she can't, I still want her to be able to participate, ya know?
I went to a b-day party when DS was 5 months old and the mom who's son was turning 1 tried to give a piece of cake to my baby.
I've also had people give him stickers, which he immediatly tried to eat, and also had a guy at the pumpkin patch grab his hand without asking me and try to tie a balloon on his wrist.

Yeah no joke. I think its because I live in a small town and everyone wants to be friendly. But sometimes people can be too friendly.

Maybe the same mom that was bragging Friday about her 11 month old polishing off a mcdonald's happy meal....
