after newborn phase...

When did you move out of the newborn stuff (weight and age)?

What does your stash look like for an younger baby?  types? amounts?

What is your overnight system?

I think I am leaning towards getting rid of my BG AIOs once she outgrows them - I am not a huge fan.  I think I am leaning towards FB one size and PFs to get us through the next phase.  Not sure on my overnight system yet.

    We started DD with fitteds - KL0s

    When she got to be about 10lbs, we started on other stuff - a mixture of different pocket diapers.  I've had a hard time with FBs with absorbency, but I LOVE my BG pockets - I have 3.0s and 4.0s - really prefer the 4.0s.  Overnight so far has just been a BG 4.0, but i did order a Monkey Snuggles Overnight dipe (fitted - they call it a SnuggleZzzz or something like that) to try out.

    Our LO started to grow out of her newborn (pre-fold/cover) system at about one month. At this point I had some one-size pocket diapers on hand, but they were too big for her and would leak. So I ordered some Best Bottoms and they were a fantastic fit for her. 

    Right now my stash is made up of various types of diapers.. pockets (about 7), AI2s Best Bottoms (5 shells/16 inserts), AIOs (3), Fitteds (about 7), some GMD pre-folds (love them) and some wool and PUL covers for the fitteds and pre-folds. The ones I use the most are the Best Bottoms and pre-folds or fitteds with a cover. I rarely use the pockets, but when I do I stuff them with a hemp insert.

    I don't have an overnight system b/c LO does not STTN yet, so I don't need one. We do try to use wool covers as much as we can for naps or night because it's breathable and (I think) she's more comfortable in it.. haha.

    My DS busted out of his newborn prefolds at 9 days, which is when I think he was back to his birth weight of 9lbs. After struggling for a day trying to snappi the tiny prefolds on, we switched to his pockets.

    We have 8 BG 3.0, 8 FuzziBunz Perfect Fit, 2 Kawaii Heavy Duty OS, 2 BG small AIOs, 2 Kawaii Minky Bamboo, and 5 Sunbaby. I pretty much hate the two BG AIO, but keep them in my diaper bag for emergencies.

    I use a BG 3.0 stuffed with two hemp inserts, which usually gets me from 7 hours. I typically change him at his 3am feeding because that seems gross to leave him in a wet diaper longer. I just ordered some wool to experiment with too.

    DD1 moved out of her orange-edge pfs and xs Thirsties covers around 3 months or 12 lbs.  She is skinny.  DD2 is 9lbs3oz and chunky, and will probably outgrow her smallest fitteds (Nana's Bottoms nb) in the next couple of weeks.  I expect her KL0s and orange-edge pfs to last us at least another month if not longer.

    When she outgrows those, I have 18 yellow-edge pfs and small Thirstoes covers (I also have sz 1 Duos).  We will use those until she starts solids or outgrows them.  Then she'll share DD1's stash of OS pockets and fitteds.

    DS is still in the prefolds that fit him as a newborn! (Standard infant green-edge.) He has been through some different cover sizes, though.

    I had 38 prefolds, and that was a good amount for when he was younger. I recently sold off 10, so we're at 28 prefolds now, and that's a good number for this age.

    I also have a bunch of BG pockets. Around 15-20, I think. They have fit since DS was about 2 months old, and they still fit DD at 3 years old, so they'll be with us for a while!

    Between the pockets and the prefolds, I have plenty of diapers. Basically enough to wash every 2-3 days and only use one type. That's handy, because for example, DH and I both had business trips last week and left the kids with MIL, and it was good to be able to leave her with just pockets, no prefolds. But I prefer prefolds personally, so I like having plenty of those for weekends and stuff.

    Overnight = BG pocket stuffed with an extra hemp insert.
