Milestone, and pure torture....

Well this coming week marks the one year anniversary of our first IUI cycle. I was so sure it was going to work on the first try. How naive. Here I am a year later on yet another break trying to lose weight for IVF, which is frustrating since I have been in a plateau weight wise for about three weeks.

 And to top things off, I got to be a part of a work project that if I didn't know any better was designed specifically to torture me. As I have mentioned before, two ladies at work are PG. I work in a local news station and they are both on-air personalities. We taped a segment the other day with them and their male counter parts and it was all about babies. It was basically a race between the two guys to see who could diaper, feed, dress and fasten a baby doll in a car seat fastest. I will admit it was hilarious. But for an hour it was all about these two PG ladies and how cute they were and how cute their babies will be. It was torture. Thankfully it only took an hour and I didn't have to help edit it, which would have been hours more of torture. But it is all anyone can talk about around the station.

    ((HUGS))  IF sucks, so do the milestones.  

    You have been doing so well with the weight loss.  Don't let a few weeks plateau get you down.  You can do it!

    Your work project does sound like it would have been torture.  Glad you are through with it.

    ~SAIF/PAIF/Everyone Welcome~ 

    Me= 37 and DH = 41 

    Dx: DOR, Endo, APA+ (really high beta 2 glycoprotein antibody and high everything else tested), heterozygous MTHFR mutation, positive for lupus anticoagulant, high FSH, low AMH and both tubes blocked (per HSG on 3/8/11)

    IVF #1 - long lupron (with HGH, intralipids, lovenox and BA); 4 retrieved, 3 fertilized; ET 2 blasts and 1 frozen = BFN

    IVF #2 - a version of antagonist with EPP (with HGH, intralipids, lovenox and BA); 6 retrieved, 4 mature, 3 fertilized, 2 blasts and 1 frozen blast transferred on day 5 = BFN.

    IVF #3 April was postponed to May, May was canceled. June/July was canceled. Had a cyst aspiration and then began IVF #3 in August. ER on 8/22; ET on 8/24 with AH. +HPT on 9/5. Beta #1 (11dpo) = 3; Beta #2 (15dpo) = 29; Beta #3 (17dpo) = 60; Beta #4 (19 dpo) = 118. Heartbeat at 6 weeks 6 days =132.  Lil is here!

    TTC#2:  Trigger + TI = BFN; Clomid + Trigger + IUI = BFN.

    IVF #4:  BCP + MDLF + Lovenox = 7R, 1F = Transferred 1 6-cell embryo on day 3 = BFN

    IVF #5:  MDLF + Lovenox = 4R, 1F = Transferred 1 10-cell compacting embryo on day 3 = BFN

    IVF #6:  (New RE):  Long Antagonist November 2014 (transferred two 8 cell grade 1 embryos and froze one blast) = BFN

    FET#1:  BFN

    agreed...IF and the milestones suck. Who didn't think it would all magically work the first time?? I guess its not bad to have hope though :) ((HUGS))

    It's been a long journey. TTC since 9/06. multiple IUI's and IVF's and 4 m/c's. IVF#3 = BFP, twins, induced at 34w6d due to baby b passing away (no explanation). Delivered on 35w1d, Baby A - baby girl, and Baby B - baby boy, our little angel.

    IF sucks, but don't let it beat you down. Stay strong and positive! And just think about the amount of makeup those newscasters have to wear to look pretty, and you don't!!! LOL! (gotta find a plus everywhere!)

    I'm so sorry, this kinds of anniversaries are not happy ones. IF suck big hairy goat balls. And your work project just sounds like an evil torture device. You have a good perspective on things, but it still all sucks and I just want to give you big hugs today.

    The milestones are so incredibly hard!!

    And I'm so sorry about the torture!  That sounds awful!
