But my sister is pregnant and doesn't belong to this the bump. She asked me if I would post this.
My sister is 35 weeks with her second child. She never went into labor with the first one due to placenta previa and had a c-section at 39 weeks. Anyway, shes having a repeat section scheduled for the end of Nov. Last night she had some clean liquid run down her legs. Now I know this sounds gross, but I personally smelled it to make her feel better.....it didn't smell like urine, but there really wasn't enough to say that her water broke. Then today her breasts started leaking like crazy. But no more fluid.
Anyway, she just called me upstairs to tell me that she had felt around "down there" and wanted to know if you could feel when you are dialated? Like is the part that opens up just your cervix, or does the opening to your lady bits widen up too? Does that make sense the way I worded it?
She has visibly dropped in the past couple weeks....so whats your vote?
1. Just part of being in your third tri
2. Could all be related and are signs that things might shake down early
I couldn't really answer about the dilation thing, because I never explored the nethers when I was in my third tri.
Re: Ok ladies I'm about to drop the dumbest question ever
I haven't a clue.
But I love that you smelled it. Only something a mother would do. HAHA.?
I am still in shock that you smelled it. LOLOLOL You are an awesome sister!!!
I would call the OB and see what they say

The Chaos of Six!
This - when my water broke in the hospital, it wasn't as much as I thought it was going to be. I was walking to the bathroom when it happened. They insisted my water hadn't broken since they tested after I peed and told me the paper didn't indicate it was my water. When they tried to break it a few minutes later - they were having a hard time and said it must have already broken I would be nervous - so I would call. I didn't explore down their either.
I'd definitely have her call the OB....and I am dying of laughter that you smelled it. What a champ, Holls, what a champ!
My water broke with both girls, and I don't remember being able to "feel" that I had dilated. Although, I never really felt down there or anything after my water did break.
right I told her this, but I never roamed around down there when I was preggers.
Ummmmm, I had to reply to one and they all said the same thing. What does it matter if I responded to SB or not? And then, I have a sixth month old....so he had to be fed and changed and put to bed, so I'm just reading the rest of the posts now.
Ummm... that's awesome that you smelled it!!!
I would have her call her OB because when my water broke it wasn't an entire gush, it was just a tirckle. I was confused because I had expected it to be like a dam breaking, but I knew it wasn't pee or discharge, and yes, I made DH smell my pants (and we were at an Eagles concert, by the way
).
