Experiences with Atlantic Women's Health?

Atlantic Women's Health just opened an office by our pediatrician in Braintree and I was hoping some moms here might be able to share their experiences with them?  I'm pregnant with #2 and went to South Shore Women's Health when I was pregnant with DS.  I definitely won't be going back there (long story) but do want to deliver at South Shore Hospital and would like a practice w/OBs and Midwives.  I think AWH has both and don't know of any other practices in the area that do.

Anyone gone to them or another South Shore practice that has both OB and Midwife practitioners?

 Thanks!

  • I LOVE Atlantic Women's Health in Braintree.  You can't go wrong with any of the three doctors.  I highly recommend them!

  • Hi

I go to Atlantic Women's Health in Plymouth but they are the same doctors at both places. I love it! I usually see Dr. Damian. When I was having some abdominal pains, I called the on call service and within 15 mins I was speaking with the on call md. It is a really great office. I have been going there since it opened. It's wonderful!!!!! :)

  • I go to the Plymouth office.  They are great!  I had a rough twin pregnancy and they were wonderful. Dr Sullivan is my OB.  But I also love Dr Thomas!  They have NPs but no midwives...at least at the Plymouth location.

  • anyalee, do you like Dr. Sullivan? She's the only one that got terrible reviews on ratemd.com but I know that a lot of people only go there to post negative experiences so it may be skewed.

I'm seeing Dr. Thomas on Friday - they were so nice on the phone, I'm hoping that everything is as great as it seems! Do they have ultrasound machines there? At South Shore Women's Health one of the offices didn't have u/s machines so you had to go over to the hospital to get one.  I definitely don't want to run all over town for an u/s!

What did you do at your 1st appt? I'll only be about 5w5d so I doubt we'd see much on an u/s - I have no idea what to expect! It's been so long! :)

ETA:  I'm OK with it being just doctors/NPs as long as they're warm & nice! The doc we saw at SSWH was just such an ice queen I couldn't deal with that at all!

Sorry, didn't see this til now.  I loved Dr. Sullivan!  She was my main Dr.  But I also saw Dr Thomas a lot...I had a high risk regnancy and were there A LOT!  I'm surprised they got any bad reviews!

You've probably already been there by now, but they do have ultra sounds right there.  They also do bloodwork right there.  I didn't have my first appointment there until I was about 10 weeks.  I transferred there once we found out we were having twins.
