Babies: 6 - 9 Months

Angelcare Monitor users

How long do you plan on using it, or at least the sensor part of it?  I usually get false alarms about once per month maybe twice.  But the past two nights it went off.  I wanted to use it a little past a year but these false alarms are scaring the crap out of me.

  • I haven't really thought about it. We haven't had it go off in about 2 months since we put a nice piece of plywood under the mattress.

  • I turned the sensor off on DS #1's right before he was 2.  He started sleeping with a pillow and he always ends up on top of it so the monitor was going off all the time.  I plan on using #2's as long as possible.  I know with my older son, we had to adjust the settings occasionally if we started getting false alarms.

i just started using it not too long ago when we moved LO to his own room. I LOVE having it because it stops me from physically going in to check on him. I've never gotten a false alarm-- it says in the directions though that if you do, you can adjust the sensitivity. Maybe try that out? I think I'll use it till around 9 mon-1 yr.

I have the sensitivity to 5.

  • We stopped using the sensor part about a month ago, we were getting 2or 3 false alarms a night. I check on DD before I go to bed and then if I get up in the middle of the night.
