Baby position?

Could you guys tell which way your baby was laying in your stomach?  I can't tell the difference between kicks or punches yet. Just wondering when/if you guys could notice a difference.

    I don't think I ever was able to with Caroline.  I can't tell now.  I'm hoping I will eventually be able to with this second pregnancy.

    Never could tell but I always had a feeling she was breech because whenever I sat down my ribs hurt so bad.  I assumed that was her head and not a squishy bottom.

    I never could tell until the doctor showed me how he was positioned.  So I guess even then I couldn't tell, but I could just guess based on how I knew he was.  But that wasn't until late in the pregnancy.

    One of the funniest things for me after she was born was to see her doing something, like a stretch and realizing "that's what I always felt going on right here!"
