Ok, maybe I'm a bad friend

But, if you read my post last night about my friend asking for money for food for her and her dogs. I gave her 75$ wthout questioning because I won't let any person or animal go hungry. Well lat night she posted she just got a Dyson.

So, ok, I try t tink it was a gift or she got it with giftcards. Anything to to take my mind off her buying it with her own money.

Well, I went on FB to find she posted "wasn't going to dress up, but went bought myself the sexy cop one" as her status as well as a message to me in my inbox asking if she can pay me back no this Thursday, but next?

If it makes me a bad friend, so be it, but this chick is never getting another dime out of me and I'm going to tell her just that.

  • I wouldn't lend her money again either.

  • I would DEFENATLY.have to post something on her status.  That is really crappy for her to do that to you!  I would tell her you need the money now so you can buy your costume, vacumme, and food!

  • At this point, I'm going to guess she paid for the brand new Dyson herself. And, with a sexy cop costume, I'm going to guess no one gifted that to her.

I agree.  I see you FF ticker....  are you TTC #2? (We started TTC #2 when #1 was 6 mo and never avoided it after #2!)

Oh, that would piss me off too!  I would wait to get the money back before ripping her though.  Just to make sure you get it back!  Then, I'd definitely rip her a new one. She was deceitful and disrespectful.  Who needs enemies with friends like that?!

    This exactly.

  • Geez, didn't you have the crappy friend who wouldn't leave your house while you were pregnant?? Sorry if I'm confused, but if that's you I think we need to make a bump council to approve your friend choices! You are too nice! We can be bishes for you!

I sure did! I had never been happoier to take someone to the airport.

I don't know what it is with people lately. I do know, soon as I do get my 75$ back, I'm ripping this chick a new one.

  • Well you can be my friend!  It sucks that you were looking out for her when you thought she was truly in need just to find out she was taking advantage of you!  That must feel yucky!  I'm sorry.

So, like, can I borrow $75?  I have to get food.  And, ummm..cat food.  Yeah, that's it.

    LOL @ laurie's bump council!

    LOL

  • Sorry you have to deal with such inconsiderate people.

I'd tell her to forget the cop costume and tell her she she go as something more appropriate...like a Douche Canoe.

  • Why do people do that. I had a good friend I let borrow money. When we finally met up for him to pay me back he was telling me how much better he was doing. He even told me about his dads party and how he was buying ROUNDS of beer. When we left he handed me my money. I didn't check it right away, but when I did it was 1/3 of what he owed. I was livid.

    Yes

  • That's ridiculous! And, technically, I think it makes HER the bad friend :)

  • I would tell her you need the money this week, that it is not ok to extend it.  Tell her that you need it to buy groceries for your family.

  • I would be soooo mad. Trust and respect are so important to me. I'd drop her as a friend. In fact, I would not even care if she paid me back. I would not even want to speak to her again.
  • No, not a bad friend.  She asked you for money for one thing that she may have needed and spent her own (or your money) on shyt that she doesn't need.  I wouldn't give her anymore money either.  She took you for granted.
