A Much Needed Return To This Board!

I was an avid lurker/fairly frequent poster back in the spring. Felt like I was spending a bit too much time on the computer, so I closed my Bump account. A few weeks later I went into pre-term labor, had a cerclage and went on strict bed rest for 16 weeks. My babies arrived at 35W, 5D. As we struggle through these first weeks, I have so many questions and I knew I needed to get back on the Mulitples board for input and support. So...here we are!

I have a feeling you'll be seeing a lot of me. Thanks in advance!

  • It was Mollymay38. So when I signed back up, I just made it Mollymay39 since they wouldn't let me use the old. Not very creative....

They had good weights at birth (DS was 6 pounds 9 ounces, and DD was 6 pounds 3 ounces). When they attempted to remove my cerclage the Monday before, it was not a good experience (probably the most pain I have ever had, a ton of bleeding). They never could get it out. So they sent me home and scheduled me to come back to L and D the following Friday to remove it with an epidural. I started running a fever that week. Turns out when they tried to remove it that Monday, they broke the water around Baby A. We didn't realize it because of all the bleeding. So I developed an infection. BUT, the delivery itself was easy and I was so happy about that. The pregnancy itself was rough and I felt like I deserved a simple delivery. Yay!

  • Congratulations on your twins!
