I am borrowing a pump from my sister and I know I need the breast shields, membranes and tubes. I can't seem to find the tubes sold online. Does anyone know where I can get these?
Call Medela, they will send you the tubes for free (usually they are $10). You can get the shields, membranes and any other accessories at BRU. Make sure you know exactly which pump you have and what your tubes look like.
I bought mine at a local store that rents pumps today. I found a bunch online but shipping was just as expensive as the tubes. You may want to call around - if your hospital rents pumps I bet they'd have the extra parts available for purchase. Medela is really strict about not sharing pumps so you may get some pushback if you tell them its your sister's.
I can't help out with the tubes but it looks like you already have that figured out.
I just wanted to recommend the Medela SoftFit Breast Shields. I started out using the shield that comes with the pump, but after my milk came in and my boobs were tender and rock hard, the plastic sheild was the last thing I wanted to attach to me. My cousin recommended this product and DH ran out to get it for me. AMAZING and so much better than the hard plastic! If you decide to make this excellent purchase, be cautious that this shield requires the PersonalFit Connectors for hook up which is another small purchase. HTH!
Re: Medela Tubes
Thanks ladies! I had looked at the Medela website and saw the shields and membranes but not the tubes. Thanks for the tip to call.
I found the parts I needed at www.mybreastpump.com
I couldn't find the tubing anywhere else, and I believe this site is a little cheaper that the Medela site! GL
