    As opposed to 1st degree?  1st degree murder means premeditated.  It doesn't seem like she planned that in advance so 2nd degree fits.

    It is disgusting, though.  Some people should never be allowed to have kids.

    Seriously, the child was 3 months old. WTH??? I think it should be Capital murder when it is for a reason that stupid. Like, murder while also committing the crime of neglecting your child to play Farmville.
