My book club has read a few good ones- The Help was awesome! Sarah's Keys, Little Bee and Water For Elephants were all pretty good too. I have also read all of the The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo books and they worth reading. Just make sure you read them in order!

I just read The Help and Water for Elephants. I really enjoyed both. I have not read the others yet. I am adding them to my library queue (yes I am a dork) as we speak. I need something to get my mind off of babies!
In the light-hearted department... Chick Lit comes to mind. In that case...
One Fifth was a good read... nice and long (hate it when books are too short!). Candace Bushnell... none of the same characters from SATC or any of her other novels, but similar feel with lots of characters and intertwining stories, even though it took me a little longer to get into One Fifth than the others.
I also just re-read Maneater (by same author as First Wives Club, Gigi something), and loved it all over again
And of COURSE, I LOVED the Sookie Stackhouse series (what True Blood is based off of).
July 20th, 2012: Never forget the day the fb douchebags tried so hard, but ultimately failed. Viva la October 2011! Yeah, I called you douchebags.

I just downloaded the complete original Wizard of Oz series on Kindle (free, oh yeah!) a week ago, and I am zooming through them. Light, easy, fun reading.
Did you know that Baum only wrote the sequels at the request of children who wrote him letters, giving him ideas and asking for more books about the characters and the magical lands? I never knew that...
I would also like to second rer05 with the Hunger Games! I read all three, and they are amazing! Kinda sci-fi, fiction, easy to read. I got my entire office hooked!
Oh and I am such a dork--when I bought the last book of the series, I got a keychain! hehehe

Re: Read any good books lately?
I am a complete book nerd...I've read so much in the past few weeks.
Are there any genres that you like better than others?
Fiction. Something light. No specific genres but not science fiction.
