so my EBF baby started oatmeal cereal this week. just 1 tbs, once a day. Her poo is still pretty runny though, no clumps. Do I need to rinse it off before washing? At what point does tha tbecome necessary?
Also, anyone out there without diaper sprayers and getting by just fine? We ordered one, tried installing it, broke the toilet, only to find out the spray was defective, and now I can't get a hold of the stupid company that put us in this mess to begin with. I really don't want to mess with purchasing and installing another one. words of comfort, anyone?
Re: Starting solids poop q
When it started to look more like peanut butter poo, I started swishing.
I tried liners for a week, but didn't like them. My friends who CD assured me that the PB poo stage lasts only a few weeks, and after that it would be ploppable. During that time I swished in the toilet. No biggie. Sometimes DD eats something that makes her poo soft again, and I just swish. It's worked out pretty well so far.
We're having the same issue. If you swish, do you then wash right away? Or put it in the pail till later when you have a full load to wash?
The inbetween stage (not runny, not solid) does only last a short while. I don't have a sprayer and I did fine. I bought a kids plastic sand shovel (it was during summer that we switched) and used that to scrape off as much as possible. I then rolled it up and put it in the pail. I wash every two days so I knew it wouldn't be sitting for long. I also soak my diapers for an hour before I wash so that helped too. I've never had any of the issues that I've read about.
