Success after IF

I'm such a Halloween Scrooge

DH just informed me  in a "Hey by the way" moment, that we have to be at his work tomorrow with Nicholas in costume.   whatever they are doing is from 10-12.    This means I have to put him in his costume tomorrow morning AND then again later that night for Trick or Treating in my sister's neighborhood.

I sure hope he tolerates his costume being put on and taken off and put back on twice tomorrow.      I was hoping I would only have to deal with the costume once tomorrow.

I told DH we are leaving by Noon, so DS can get home for lunch/nap.

  • Yeah, I'm not a fan.  Glad to have only 1 event to go to this weekend!  (although I must admit I can't wait to see how cute he looks in his costume!)

  • Jacob is going to be Superman.  We might put him in it and parade him around tomorrow evening.  But I might call it off - because I don't want to deal.  Otherwise, we'll be trick or treating Sunday night with his cousins.  :)

actually I have 5 to deal with on halloween but my sister is helping. My cousin has to work (so does her husband) and they are in the medical profession so they work 18 plus hour shifts so we have the kids all day! So with just myself and my sister we will have my three - one shy of 2 and one who is 11 months and my cousins 3.5 year old and her 9 month old!!!!! INSANITY!

  • I just keep reminding myself that we want DD to get a lot of use out of her costume :) Last year she only wore it once other than for some pictures before Halloween.

We've already had 2 Halloween events, and we're planning on 2 more (one tomorrow, one Sunday). It is kind of a pain, especially since we have to put her costume on once we arrive at our destination (she won't fit in the carseat with it on :) ) She's not a fan of the headpiece, but we've gotten her to wear it for a bit :)

Oh shoot I didn't even think of that.   Thanks for reminding me.  That would have been "fun"  putting the costume on, getting outside and putting him in the carseat only to realize he won't fit in it w/ the costume on.  Fabulous.

LiAngel, where is your DS's costume from?  My DS is also going as a Bumblebee and it is from Old Navy. I took him to visit DH at work in his costume, and just put him in the pants and a onesie on top.  When we got there, I put the top on.  It worked out quite well!  I hope all of your events go well tomorrow Smile
