I'm having a crappy week, so thought I'd share something happy. Feel free to do the same!
I am so proud of myself for making this trick or treat bag for Babytaffy. I'd seen a link to one similar to it on carlinlp's blog and thought "Wonder if I can make that?" Turns out I can! And the best part, it was all done with scraps/supplies I had around the house except for the handle so my out of pocket cost was only 99 cents! It's a little on the small side, since it was done with scraps, but DH and DS have been having fun stuffing its tummy full of candy and then making it regurgitate the candy back into a bowl, so they can stuff it again. Boys!

As for my AW - PIP, I've kind of gone on a hat bender. They're so easy and quick to make and are really cute! So last night and Wednesday night, I made a tomato hat (on the right) and a grape hat (middle). The pumpkin hat was already AW'd.
My AW: my mom is in town for a long weekend! Yay!!! I worked this morning while she cleaned my house and entertained my children. She is the best mom ever!
Alex's 1st birthday party is tomorrow. Sniff, sniff. I can't believe we're celebrating his birthday already. My midwife is coming to the party too, and I'm so excited about that!

But not just the baby bump, but the fact that I'm awake, dressed in real clothes, and (gasp) wearing makeup! It's, um, been a while.

Taffy, that bag is sooo cute!! And AJL, I love your hats - I wish I had hired you to make Atalie a strawberry hat to go with her costume. And speaking of costumes, that is my AW - I made the girls' costumes this year, and I love how they turned out. Kennedy is a little obsessed with Strawberry Shortcake, so I made her a little hat and apron, and Atalie is a strawberry.

And LaQuinta, that strawberry shortcake costume is adorable! I love it. I used to be obsessed with her when I was her age too. My mom painted my walls pink and got *gasp* red carpet in my room to go along with the theme.

I love this thread. Everything is so cute! I want to AW about the cupcakes my students made in class today. Seriously, some of them you would want to buy. I would PIP but I can't find my camera cord.
Because I want to play, I'll add this one. (If it works...) One of my students made a flower witch in her floral design class and gave it to me. I thought it was nice of her.

I found the plans at ana-white.com, got a friend with tools to come help me, and made it - he loooves it! I have never done anything like this in my life and it felt really satisfying to make something with my own two hands that we can really use
So impressed w/ everyone else's posts!
I'll AW part of DD's 2nd birthday gift. We gave her a red play kitchen, so I made her a reversible apron, chef's hat, DD-sized oven mitt and personalized dish towels to go along w/ her new set. Best part is that the whole thing ended up costing me less than $10!
