I need money...

Anyone have any good suggestions on how to make some extra money?  I have a full-time job and make about 28K a year and DH makes about 38K a year, and I would really like to earn some extra cash to have to spend on DD and for emergencies (we have practically drained our savings from medical bills and are trying to save to build a house in a few years).

  • etsy shop or ebay store?  what skills do you have?  wait tables (easy fast money)...that's what I did in college.

  • maybe a pt seasonal job? Maybe victoria's secret or some mall store like that where you can work after your FT job and on weekends (assuming your FT job is a 'regular 9-5 type job).
  • I'm currently a SAHM on maternity leave for the year from my teaching position.  We are living off of DH's salary but it is tiiiiggghhhtttt. I just applied for a few part time positions (Ann Taylor, Loft, and Borders).  I have 2 interviews next week and I just applied for these at the beginning of this week.  Actually I applied for Borders online without even knowing if they had any open positions.  Plan is to try to make enough to cover my husband's insurance costs since we are going on his plan now and it cost more than the one I had through my school district.
  • Something you can do in your own time: Mary Kay, Avon, Scentsy... This could be a great source of income, just depends on how into it you get though. I dont think there is a limit to how much you can make though
  • Selling stuff on Craig's List is a great way to get some extra money. I have made a generous amount selling anything from clothes, cell phones, furniture and dvds

  • I work for H&R Block during tax season part time.  It's all commission based, but you get an hourly wage (usually minimum wage for the first year).  I find it to be very family friendly hours.
