DD has her last bottle around 8-8:15pm, gets book read and then down for the night. She co-sleeps with us in her arms reach co-sleeper (at least until next week when we attempt Ferber)...Anyway, DD wakes up anywhere between 5-6 am for a bottle and then goes back to bed until about 8:15 am. We dropped her oz a couple of wks ago from 6 to 4 for her early am feeding per her pedi. DH thinks she should not be waking up for that early am feeding anymore and thinks this is out of habit. Btw, she has been FF since 4 mo. I'm not sure if we should continue to drop her oz and ween more or if this is perfectly normal. Advise?

Re: How many hrs do you consider LO STTN?
She's ahead of the game, IMO. I'm still up 3x per night with DS and he's up for the day by 7 am at the latest.
Medically speaking, STTN is 5 straight hours.
BFP(4) DD2 born 2.14.13 @ 35w5d due to pPROM
DS goes down at 6:00 and wakes around midnight and is then up every 2ish hours until 6-6:30 am when he's up for the day.
Medically speaking, STTN is 5 uninterrupted hours.
Why are you going to Ferberize? She doesn't seem to have a sleep issue.
Okay, that's what I thought after reading TB here and there but DH wasn't convinced.
Thank you so much!
We're going to Ferber to transition her out of our room and cosleeper into her own room/crib. She's napped in there maybe 3x for a very short period of time. DD doesn't fuss, she goes straight to screaming when she's not happy. We've read up and are ready to Ferber because we're anticipating the worst.
Mine roughly has the same schedule - awake around 4 or 5 to eat. (Although we are teething now, so there have been more wake ups lately.
I'm not planning on trying wean the night feeding for awhile. He is on the small side though, so he needs all the calories he can get, lol!
Happy Birthday, little man. We love you so much!

I consider it 7-8 hrs a night.
This, I know, but between DH and I, "STTN" means sleeping from the time she goes down (at around 9:30-ish) and not waking up once until ~6 - 7 AM-ish, so 8-9 hours. She'll do it sometimes, but not every night like she was doing prior to the 4-month wakeful period.
8/9 hours is STTN for me, G is BF though and my doctor agrees that anything after 8 hours he is hungry and should be fed. He usually is down 8/8:30 and sleeps until 3/4am then eats and goes back down until 7/8.
Oh and I would give her a period of adjustment before you try and sleep train her, moving to the crib is a huge thing for them. JMO though

Do you mean because we dropped from 6 to 4 oz a couple of weeks ago or why?
