I just test drove the Hybrid because it is one of the 5 choices of cars I have. You can get a booster back there, but it is a pain to get back there if you have to do it. I have a friend who has it and has 3 kids and she is going to replace it soon because it is a pain for the older one to get in the back.
We have an '07 and just had to figure this out last week.... we took my neighbors little girl to the museum with us, and her 5 pt booster did fit in the 3rd row. However, she had to crawl all the way over the seat to get it in it and it was a PITA to get her buckled.
Short term, it works. Long term, I wouldn't do it.
