So.... Ryan's bday party was 2 weeks ago and the favors I ordered from oriental trading company got lost in the mail :-( I had faith up until the day of the party that they were going to show up, then hours before people were going to arrive I rushed to the post office, pleaded for help, they tried; the talked to the driver, looked around the station... but nothing :-(  So we didn't do favors.  No big deal, I got over it.  I was more upset with losing over an hour of the day and being stressed when I wanted to be relaxed and enjoying my kids, ya know?

Anyways 2 days ago they finally shows up...  I already got my money refunded and they told me that IF it they did show up to just send them back.  The box is still sitting in our entryway un-opened.  Part of me just wants to open it and give out the favors now!  And I really don't want the hassle of having to return it either, and what if they make me pay for the shipping back???  Ug.. so WWYD?

    Call them again and tell them it just showed up. One time this happened to me and I called and she said just to keep or donate them.

    Call them, but refuse to send them back unless they give you a prepaid shipping label.  You shouldn't have to be out any money for returning them.  Even if they promise to refund you the shipping after the fact, don't do it unless they pay for the shipping up front.

    How much of a PITA would it be to have to deliver all the favors?  I vote just send them back.

    It's not really a pain... I kinda think it would be fun :-)  But I'll see everyone in the next week anyway, so I wouldn't have to go out of my way to deliver them.  But that said I like the idea of refusing to send them back unless I get a prepaid shipping label, and if they told me to keep them that would be sweet!

    If you give them out you could always put them in a little baggie wit a picture of the birthday boy or a thank you card.

    I had a similar situation happen with something. I told them if they sent me a prepaid label and called to set up a pickup from my home I would send it back. Otherwise forget it. It probably costs me $5 to drive to the post office, plus the hassle and I wasn't footing the bill for someone else's mistake. They ended up sending FedEx to do it. That was fine, but definitely odd considering it probably cost them more than the product was worth!

    This is what I would do.  Or if you really want to keep them, have them recharge your credit card.
