  I am this way too. My doc won't see me until I am 8 weeks so I still have a few more weeks to wait. It took me so long to get pregnant this time that it is hard for me to believe it is real. Luckily my lo keeps me busy and the time is flying by so far.

  You hang out on here, basically.

  Note that there are a wide range of what a doctor will do. Many here weren't seen until the 10th week. They often don't have you in to doublecheck the home test. It can be a long wait.

  Well congrats on your BFP! I called my OB/GYN and told them I got a positive HPT and they said to come in. They did another test, did a PAP and scheduled my next appt. It's hard being patient, so what I did was go out and buy a ton of books and a pregnancy journal.

  Congrats! It is driving me crazy too. I called the radiology place and they booked me 4 days before my OB, so I get a bit of a break, but it is still not until the 8th.......

  I've been going on lots of fall walks around the neighborhood, lurking around the Bump boards, trying to control my stomach rumbles and thinking about names although it is probably way to early to do that.....

  and yes... books (a friend of mine recommended Your Pregnancy Week by Week and DH and I are enjoying it). I look throught it almost every night to read what's happening this week and what will happen in the next couple of weeks.

  The waiting does suck, but you basically just take your prenatals and try to ride it out. I still haven't had my first appt (though I had a u/s on Monday for spotting). It's my second time around though, so I guess maybe it's old hat for me? If you got a BFP, you're not severely cramping or spotting then everything's probably just fine.

  Congratulations to all of you as well. I am nervous about buying books etc because I just want reassurance that things are actually happening in there lol.  I am just going to try and take it easy, but the next two weeks are going to be grueling lol.  Thank you all for your support.  No severe cramping or anything just mild period cramping which i assume is normal.
