What are the "rules" w/ new playground friends?

Our local mall has an indoor playground, after running some errands, E , my mom & I met a neat family w/ 2 young kids. The mom gave me her number to call them & set up a play date. Are there "rules" to playground socializing like dating- do you wait 3 days to call? Haha. I'm new on the playground scene so it's all foreign to me. Urgh, I should have grabbed her email.

What do you do when you meet a new mom?

    haha!  Krissie, this made me laugh.  There probably is some sort of etiquettte, but I have no idea.  I would just play it by ear and when you have some time and an idea of when you want to meet up with her just give her a call.

    Haha.  I've only been approached 2 times so far, but I asked for an email address both times because I feel like calling is so awkward (how to get off the phone, what to say, etc).  In both instances, I contacted them within 24 hours to throw out some dates. I tried to contact them relatively quickly because I didn't want them to feel like maybe it was awkward that they approached me (b/c I know I would be worrying about it if I got up the guts to give someone my info).  Yay for meeting a new family though!

    Dani- that's exactly how I feel! Hehe, I'm such a dork. Because it's Halloween this weekend I'll wait until Monday & throw some dates out there. Thanks ladies :)
