Maternity Jeans for Short Girls

Does anybody have recommendations for maternity jeans for the vertically challenged?

I've tried Motherhood Maternity and hated the way their jeans fit. The Old Navy store I went to only had regular length.

I had a mini growth spurt overnight and now none of my old jeans fit even with a rubber band. I thought I was going to have to wear my pj bottoms to work this morning.

  • I'm hoping somebody answers this for you. I'll be needing the same fit before too long.

  • I have a few pairs.  The ones I love are Joe's Jeans and expensive but I found them on Ebay and wear them all the time.  I had to get them hemmed.

The other pairs I have are from Target and some are shorter then others.  They are a bit long but not too bad (I'm 5'2), also check Kohls, they sell short - but they are hard to come by.

  • You could always have the regular length ones shortened at a tailor or dry cleaning place.  It's usually around $10.

  • I'm 5'4" and had almost all of my maternity pants/jeans shortened.  I probably spent at least $50 on alterations, but petite sizes are too short for me and average are too long to wear with flats--I gave up wearing heels when I was around 16 weeks!
  • I had to get mine hemmed. So I broke down and got nice Maternal America ones from Nordstrom.  I had tried Gap ankle length with my first pregnancy and I think they were still long.  I'm 5'2".

  • I bought a few and had them hemmed and then I found a pair of True Religion capris on sale at Pea in a Pod.....they fit me like regular jeans.

Also, like pp said, Gap ankle length fit like regular jeans too....and I wear them with heels.

  • Kohls has petite sizes and I found a pair at Target that weren't very long.  Like many pp have said, I did have to get a few hemmed, sometimes if they fit you well around the thighs and waist, it's just worth it to do it that way.  I had to get a lot of my work dress pants hemmed as well.  I'm 5'3" and some of the petite sizes were just too short while the regular length pants were too long :(  GL!
  • Two options I have found for petite jeans are Pea in the Pod and Gap.  I bought a pair of dark rinse 5 pocket boot cut at Pea in the Pod and they are 10 times better than the Motherhood ones.  I love them.  Also, Gap offers petite on their website.  I haven't bought any yet, but plan to based on recommendations.  GL!

  • No dice. I have to hem all of my pants. I'm only 5'1".
  • I am 5'4" and found the Oh Baby! by Motherhood at Kohl's to be the best fit for me. I have thicker legs (I do a lot of cycling) and a smaller waist. Old Navy and Target did not work for me at all! But the ones from Kohl's were perfect!
