in Cloth Diapering

If I am using the folded insert, do I put the doubled up part in the front or back?  Does it matter if it is for a girl or boy?  I have done it both ways but am wondering if there is a right way and a wrong way.

    I've been putting it in the back. I figure it doesn't really matter because the moisture gets wicked up the entire length of the insert anyway?

    I've always read that the thicker part should go in the front for a boy and in the back for a girl.
