Too matchy-matchy?

My daughter's name is Charlotte. We are expecting #2, but don't know what we are having. One of my fav names for a girl is Georgia, but I am concerned that it is too matchy with Charlotte because they are both places in the Southern US. Then we just realized that my due date is the day my husband's grandpa died and his name was George, so that makes it kinda sweet to name the baby that.

Thoughts?

I love both names, and I honestly don't think of Charlotte as a place name at all (even though I know of and have been to the city). Great choices.

I love the name Georgia and I think the two names are adorable together. Georgia would be on our name list, too, except it sounds terrible with our last name.

My daughter's name is Georgia, so I obviously love the name. We like the name Charlotte, too, and it would be on our list for #2 were it not for a relative named Charlotte that I don't want to name our baby after (not that there's anything wrong with her; it would just be weird). I don't think there's anything wrong with pairing those two names -- they are both great names!!

I think Georgia and Charlotte make a lovely sibset. Not weird/matchy-matchy at all. I think it's a great example of names that "go together" without matching.

Both are absolutely beautiful!

I agree with PP...I don't associate Charlotte with the city (and I'm from the South) Next time I would avoid Virginia or Savannah and you are good to go!

This, and I've lived in NC all my life. I think Charlotte and Georgia are both beautiful names and go well together! Great picks!
