Oh no! Please tell me it'll be okay

Jackson is being sent home from daycare with 102 fever right now.  (MIL is going to get him so I don't have to leave work).

His birthday party is tomorrow.  There are 85 people coming.  All the deposits have been given, and a lot of money has been shelled out on decorations.  I never freak out, but right now, I can feel my blood pressure rising.

Please, please, please reassure me that it'll be okay Sad

    Oh no!  I hope he feels better soon.  I know the rule is 24hrs being fever free before being around other children.  Maybe just try to hold him a lot when the other kids are around if he's feeling up to it.

    We were at the pedi, 5 days before ds turned 1, because he developed hfm from daycare.  I was so nervous, because we had a ton of people coming to his party.  Even though he was still under the weather, everything turned out ok.

    Ugh, that would make me worry too.  Do you have a carrier?  If he continues to be sick maybe you can put him in that which would hopefully stop adults and children from touching him and getting themselves sick.

    Hopefully this will help you be more optimistic-- About a month ago, on a Saturday morning DS woke up with a 102 fever (his first one). ?He had the fever all day, although we controlled it by alternating motrin with tylenol and giving him lots of fluids. ?The next day, he woke up and was totally fine! ?It was just a one day thing. ?Hopefully the same happens for you guys!!!

    Nope no carrier.  I wouldn't want to lug around his 25lb butt anyway, lol.
