PSA: if you are debating buying a winter coat

I got this one from ON and love it-  it seems super warm (and it is way nicer than the $98 one gap has- which i tried on in store).

Anyway- it is only $30 today only!  Good deal :).  I am kicking myself for ordering it early (I was so excited to see a reasonable coat and worried it would sell out if I waited for sales)

Re: PSA: if you are debating buying a winter coat

  • I ordered it two days ago with a 50% off code. I hope it works without making me look huge!

  • That IS cute! I'm thinking I probably won't buy a coat, but I did get a cute maternity fleece from ON using a coupon code. It's a little big, but by the time it's cold enough outside to wear it, I think it will fit well and be comfy.

  • I got an email about this this morning and I debated ordering it and I wasn't going to but since I am due in february and all my coat don't fit me now I will probably need one for the winter.  Thanks for the review, I ordered it so hopefully it works out.

  • I have this coat, too... I think it's a great choice for casual wear.  The hood zips off, so I think it looks nice enough to wear to the office on a super cold day.  I did order one of the other ON coats with more traditional professional styling for most days, though.
  • PS for my tall sisters-- I have very long arms (longer than my 6'3" husband's), and the sleeves on this coat are passable on me.  Not super fantastic, but I don't look stupid.
  • I got it in the mail yesterday and was SHOCKEd at how cute it actually is. I figured it would be practical and not very attractive, but in MI I will need it.... SO glad I bought it!

  • Bah!  I was trying to leave on time for work today, and now I had to go buy this.  I hope it is warm enough, thanks for the tip :)

  • Can anyone tell me how the sizing is on this coat? I normally wear either a L or XL, mostly because I'm really large chested, but when I tried clothes on in Old Navy Maternity awhile ago, the L seemed big on me. I'm thinking of ordering an XL because that's what most of my regular coats are, but I worry about it being huge..

  • I am thinking of buying this - we are going on a trip to NYC in two weeks - do any ladies who know NYC think I will need a coat? None of my others fit, so I'm guessing hoodies with long sleeves may not be enough? TIA!

  • I don't have any ON Maternity stuff, but I wear XS in their normal clothes. I usually buy coats one size bigger, so I went with the small. It fits just theway I want it to. Long enough sleeves and room to fit a heavy sweater or sweatshirt underneath and still zip comfortably. I think probably XL based on that.

  • Thanks for the tip! I have been debating, and froze on my way into work today (work on a college campus). My normal warm coat only has a zipper, so that's not an option anymore! Just ordered my new coat Big Smile

  • Ordered it! I ordered one size up so I can fit a sweater or hoodie underneath, if its waay too big I will just do an exchange.
  • I have this coat as well.  I love that it has a waist-cincher elastic on the inside, so if you need to order it bigger- which I did, I ordered a large- you can size it down and then adjust back up as you get larger.

  • I ordered it the same size as I have all of my other ON maternity clothes, and it's a great fit.  I don't think I'll have any trouble fitting a sweater or hoodie underneath.
  • I wasn't planning on buying a jacket, but as my peacoat (same one I wore for pregnancy with 2nd DS) is nearly unbuttonable at 6 months, I decided I had to do it.  For $30, its hard to go wrong.  I also spent another $100 on some good deals (though not as good as the maternity clearance rack).  Thanks for the tip.

  • I ordered it too! Thanks for the announcement :)  I was worried the puffy coats would make me look huge, but you can't lose when it is only $30...  Yay :)
