When to move to a bed from crib?

in Toddlers: 24 Months+
I am due when DD is 25 mos. and am trying to decide if I should try to move her to a real twin bed before the baby comes or after. DD seems to like her crib and was not the best sleeper until recently. Just afraid of messing up a good thing. When did you move LO to a bed? Did you use a bedrail?

    we got DD a dora toddler bed early this year (feb or march i think) & shes been sleeping in there ever since but only for about 6 hrs (8pm-2am) then she ends up in our bed. :( so she was about 22mo when she moved. but she never really did sleep in her crib. only for naps unfortunately. good luck
