Are Dirty diapers in wetbag unsanitary??? New CD mom

My husband & I are 1st time parents & are CDing our LO. He keeps asking me if it is ok to leave dirty diapers in wet bag for a day or two. I tell him theres no way I can do laundry everyday cause she doesnt go through enough diapers in a day, but i guess since its easy to just use a disposable, the thought of having a dirty diaper sitting in a bag makes him think they will go bad or something.

For all you experienced CDers please dispell any of his concerns about whether its ok for dirty diapers to stay in wetbag until washed.

    It is perfectly fine to leave them in a wet bag for a day or two.  You wouldn't want to leave them in their for a week, but a short period of time won't do any harm.  I do diaper laundry every other day - no problem at all.

    I do laundry ever 2-3 days, usually ever 3rd day, and never an issue. Very few people do CD laundry every day unless they just plain don't have enough diapers. They will clean up fine. I wouldn't leave them for a week on end or anything, but a couple days is fine. That's how people have been doing it for a long time. 

    Does he think that people who have a CD service have pick up every day? They don't because its not necessary. Tell your hubs not to worry, your diapers will be fine!

    The only reason I do laundry everyday is because I do not have enough diapers in my stash yet.  But as soon as we add some more we will definelty not be doing laundry every day its a pain sometimes, but I switched a few weeks ago to CDing and I want to do it fulltime even though I have a few disposables left.  We will stock up on more CDs and then wash every other day.

    Stephanie is right -- diaper services pick up dirty diapers only once a week.  The dirty diapers will be fine in the diaper pail for a couple of days.  I wash every 2-3 days, mostly every 2 days b/c my diaper pail is so stinky on the 3rd day.
