So, I'm stumped... Need help!

I let my BFF borrow several of our CDs and she is having smell issues (see post a couple down from here). I've never had any smell issues with these dipes. I gave her RnG to use and she's washed them the same as I do. 

Her DS's pee is very strong and she said the smell is almost staying faintly in the diapers (but only if you put your nose right into the inserts). Any ideas? What could be causing this?

She's only had them since yesterday and they were working for us prior to this with no smell issues... so I'm really stumped. 

Thoughts?

    Are you sure she's washing them the same way?  Is her water the same temperature?  Is she using the same water level?  Does she have the same number of diapers in the wash as you do?  It sounds like they're not getting clean and my guess is that she isn't using enough detergent, or isn't using enough water to rinse.

    She is doing a cold wash, hot wash, double rinse with 3 tbsp of RnG. I wonder if its a water temperature level or not enough water... She said she had it on large and she doesn't have anywhere near the number of dipes I do. I'm so stumped.

    If she's not washing as many diapers, have her try less detergent. For two days worth, I only use 2 tbsp of rockin green.

    Do you think too much detergent for one wash (she's only washed once so far) would be the issue?  I find it weird that after one wash it smelling... like its not clean enough or something?
