Ovulating after the pill

Hi,

I've been off the pill for two weeks and I tested today.  I knew it was a long shot but anyway...

I'm not sure when I should be testing?  Should I try every morning?  Should I wait until I get my period and go from there?  I'm really tempted to run out and buy the Clearblue Easy Fertility Monitor.

Re: Ovulating after the pill

  • You can start using OPKs now.  I usually test in the PM.  Buy some cheap sticks and test several times a day the 1st month so that you can see when you hit your surge.  And, buy a digital to confirm what you think is a +OPK the first month or so until you're used to what it looks like.  I recommend peeing in a cup if you're going to use this method.  GL!

  • If you haven't already read it, get "Taking Charge of your Fertility" by Toni Wechsler (sp?).  It was wonderful and gives you some less expensive options for monitoring your cycle than the CBE monitor.

  • I would not run out and buy the monitor.

This will tell you if and when you ovulate, it takes the guess work out of a lot of it.

    good luck!
