I know someone posted this earlier, but there weren't many responses and I've seen a lot of people doing this theme, so I thought I'd make another post. I'm just wondering what your ideas are and what blogs or sites you've gotten them from!
I want to do red and blue themed and I saw some pictures like this on a blog once and can't find it anymore!!! It was for a little girl and she was wearing a snowflake shirt with a red tutu I think. Just wondering if anyone knows what I'm talking about???
I'm thinking we'll do hot cocoa bar, cream cheese and olive penguins (https://allrecipes.com//Recipe/cream-cheese-penguins/Detail.aspx), maybe mini grilled cheese sandwiches and tomato soup and I'm sure some other little comfort food snacks. For cake I'm doing the penguin cupcakes from the book Hello Cupcake and Ella's will get one of those to eat too. Decorations I'm waiting on until after Christmas and hoping to get 75 - 90% off! Last year Target had amazing deals and lots of stuff left!
I made an invitation already on the computer (don't mind that it says 2010... my brain doesn't seem to work anymore! haha!).
I'd love to brainstorm with anyone else who is doing this theme! Why am I having so much fun with this??? I guess I better now because one day she won't like my ideas... hahaha!

I'm doing a snowflake theme Winter One-derland party, just blue, white and silver. I found a nice outfit at Nordstrom Rack that is a gray velour top with blue and white embroidered snowflakes for my baby to wear.
They have these really cool globe lights at IKEA that I'll buy to decorate the windows ... hanging them behind the sheer. And then try to hang some snow flake decorations from the ceiling.
I'm going to do marshmallow snowmen. Probably a chocolate bar, or some mulled cider, and krupnik (fire vodka) for the adults. Not sure about other food yet. I'll probably get it catered, though, so that I'm not running around cooking the day of the party.
We are doing one on Jan 1st for DS. I haven't designed invites yet, but here's what I had in mind for the party so far... red & white color scheme, white pompom balls and snowflakes hanging from ceiling & light fixtures, faux snow on the mantle and maybe some votives, a hot cocoa bar, mulled wine. I thought maybe we'd have luminaries along the walk to the house, depending on the time of the party. I have bookmarked a bunch of websites:

Yes, we're making it a drop in thing, although I'm sure everyone will be there at 12.
I was hoping people would stop by at different times to make it a little less chaotic.
thanks for sharing!!!
That's what I was thinking too (less chaos)- what a great idea!
