4 month old wants to eat ,,,, I think !

my lil guy watches me eat & tonight he started whining like he wanted a bite! he was making what I guess is his chewing face and sticking his lips forward like kisses ,,, so I gave him BM from a spoon... my dr says to wait for cereal unless he were eating like 40 oz of BM... but he takes 6 6 oz bottles a day & nurses 2x at night... so I'm not quite sure but I guess he might be up to 40... don't know why that matters,,, btw, he's 28 inches & 18 lbs! big eater since day 1 !

    yep. we started out on rice cereal, and now she's had squash and started sweet potatoes tonight.

    Yup, we have had bananas and sweet potatoes...both of which DS loves! He is not a fan of any cereal though.

    My DS eats veggies and rice mixed together with formula in it to make it more of a pureed texture so he doesn't choke.  He's had sweet potatoes, green beans, squash, peas, pumpkin, bananas, pears, and carrots. 

    He ate plain cereal for only about a week (once a day) before I went on to sweet potatoes.  He loves eating :-D

    I may buy some yams tomorrow to make them for him.

    My pedi told me not until 6 months.  I so want to defy him...but he has his reasons and we chose him because we trust him :( I'm bummed. I think my little guy wants to try food..he's lunged for my plate quite a few times already...and he has teeth!

    We started cereal at 3 months/3 weeks, and then started veggies/fruits at 4 months exactly.  LO is also big...18.6 lbs and 27 inches...he was VERY ready..if you think he is, follow your instinct :) Good Luck!

    Ive let DD have licks of stuff to taste, but Im sure shes ready. She shows all the signs and has her own little routine at restaurants (she has to have water from a spoon, and I put ice in her nubby (net thing)). I hope she gets cleared @ her 4 month this monday! :)
