Now that I've ordered an Amber necklace-dumb question....

What do you do about naps?  I guess in my household and my reflux kids, naps can come without warning.  Hoping not as much by 6 months, but we'll see.  So if LO falls asleep wearing their necklace, do you finagle it off them while trying to let them sleep, or do you just leave it on and let them sleep in view of you?  Or am I missing that they really are safe somehow and that the warnings are just general cover your but disclaimers?

    If I know DS is going to nap then I take it off preemptively. So basically when I start to think that he should be getting tired soon I take it off. It generally coincides with a diaper change.

    But if he falls asleep with it on I leave it on. He has never ever messed with it so I feel okay letting him nap in it. Plus, his naps are ridiculously short anyways so it's not like he's sleeping in it for very long. If he falls asleep for the night in it (which has never happened) then I would take it off.

    When it approaches nap time, I move it to his ankle.  If he falls asleep with it on then I leave it on unless it looks easy to get off without disturbing him .
